KANSAS AATF OFFICERS 2017

Katrina Carey - Kansas AATF President, 2018-2020

I am Katrina Carey, currently serving as President for the Kansas chapter of AATF, and am a 2017 AATF Future Leader. I have been teaching French in the Olathe school district at the middle and high school levels for the past ten years. I love learning about new cultures, traveling, and inspiring my students to do the same. I believe that French is a language that can open many doors and opportunities for students--and I love to share my passion for it in the classroom. I studied French at the University of Kansas and at the University of Missouri Kansas City. I have enjoyed visiting many French-speaking countries, including France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Canada, and Haiti...and have met French speakers from all over the world! Outside of the classroom, I love to spend time with my family, craft, read, and exercise.
